Today concludes this crazy 3 week adventure we have been on, as we make our last 8 hour motorcycle ride home from St. Louis. It’s been a great trip (despite that whole second week), as we have seen so many places, taken in so many experiences, and quite frankly have worn ourselves out attempting to fit it all in. During this last week, we have taken in so many new places from Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Detroit, Chicago, and now St. Louis. After leaving Niagara Falls, we headed for Detroit, where we took in famous sites, such as the GM Center, Fisher Tower, and Greektown. The gyros were amazing at the Golden Fleece restaurant. We continued on into Chicago to go to Navy Pier, The Magnificent Mile, HARPO (Oprah’s) studios, Millennium Park, and of course attempted to see President Barack Obama’s house, but the secret service just wouldn’t let us through…shucks. I loved Chicago and can’t wait to come back there for a weekend away. We ate AMAZING pizza at Lou Malnati’s and then made our way into St. Louis last night. We went to some biker bar (really in the middle of an abandoned area of town, that was extremely sketchy) that Matt suggested we go to and sadly, we definitely looked out of place with Matt’s polo shirt and our BMW motorcycle. Neither of us have enough tattoos, long enough hair, or a gruff enough disposition to even try and fit in at this place. Oh well, the people there were really nice and Matt got to see this famous bar (it has something to do with motorcycles shutting down the highway for tricks or something). Before we head out today we are going to visit the Gateway Arch and take in one last round of BBQ before coming back to Oklahoma. Needless to say, we are both ready to get home and settle back into our regular, everyday life. This trip has been an adventure of a lifetime and I’m glad you all were able to come along with us and experience it from a different prospective. We will spend the next few days getting back into our routine, cleaning (EVERYTHING), reviewing the hundreds of photos we have taken on this trip, and well, start planning where we will go from here. Enjoy the cooler weather, as we are excited to see it get up to 80 degrees today, as we haven’t seen that warm of temperature in over 2 weeks! Have a fantastic Sunday!
