Privacy at Room4Two.
This is a personal travel and life journal. We collect as little as we reasonably can, and we do not sell personal information or use it to build advertising profiles.
Site analytics
Room4Two uses Google Analytics to understand how readers find and use the journal—for example, which stories are read, general referral sources, broad geographic areas, device and browser types, and interactions with the site. We use that information to improve Room4Two, not to sell personal information or create Room4Two advertising profiles.
Google Analytics may set or read first-party analytics cookies and process technical information about a visit. You can block or delete those cookies using your browser settings. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy .
Email subscriptions
If you join the reader list, Room4Two stores your email address, optional first name, signup and confirmation dates, subscription status, and a secure one-way version of the confirmation token. We use that information only to send Room4Two updates and keep a record of your consent.
A confirmation email is sent before the address becomes active. Resend processes and delivers those emails, manages broadcasts and delivery events, and honors unsubscribe requests. You can unsubscribe from any broadcast. Room4Two keeps the consent record and status needed to respect that choice. Read the Resend Privacy Policy .
Messages you send us
When you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are delivered privately to Misty and Matt so we can read and reply. They are not published or added to a marketing list. Room4Two does not keep a separate copy of the message in its website database.
Spam and security checks
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated spam. Cloudflare may process technical browser and network signals for that security check. Room4Two also keeps expiring rate-limit counters tied to a one-way identifier derived from the sender’s IP address; the raw IP address is not stored in that counter.

Cookies and similar storage
Room4Two does not add advertising cookies. Google Analytics may use analytics cookies as described above. The private owner area uses one strictly necessary, secure sign-in cookie after an owner logs in; it expires after seven days and is not available to page scripts. Turnstile is configured without the optional pre-clearance cookie and is used only to protect the contact and email signup forms.
RSS and outside websites
The Room4Two RSS feed works without a signup and does not give us a list of subscribers. Links to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other outside websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Room4Two currently links out to those services instead of embedding their tracking-heavy feeds on these pages.
