Wednesday morning we were pleasantly greeted by the NPS park ranger who informed us there was a grizzly bear spotted in our campsite. Yikes, this is getting real! Much to our luck, we never made contact with him/her. After breakfast we packed up and headed towards Old Faithful Geyser. After patiently waiting (or myself not so patiently) she erupted spewing boiling water into the air for approximately 4 minutes. We traveled to see the middle geyser basin, which provided me with the “beachiest” vacation I was going to get on this trip. We closed out our National Park adventure with a day spent in the Grand Tetons. A-maz-ing! We have completed our wildlife scavenger hunt only missing two big ticket finds, bears and wolves. Only if we had more time, I know we would have seen them all! We made our way into Jackson Hole, Wyoming to stay the night in a swanky little roadside motel since all the camping spots were filled up in the Grand Tetons. This place reminds me of a combination of Albuquerque, Deadwood, and Breckenridge all tied into one, so super fun! We stopped and had a Yellowstone Lemonade and a local beer from the Snake River Brewing Company at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Dinner of pizza from Pinky G’s hit the spot before turning in for the night. With a little re-packing and reorganizing, we are ready to head out for our next adventure, mountain biking in Breckenridge, CO. Let’s just hope everyone comes back from this adventure with bodies in tact. Oh, and we finally got to pack up the bear spray, yeah!!!
